Biography

Yuxiao Chen studied bamboo flute at the high school attached to the Central Conservatory of Music of China at the age of 7. August 2012, she participated in the performance of Common Stage – Chinese Ghost Night as co-composer and performer of Swiss cultural exchange program. December 2016, she participated in the performance of “December night of Svegaslav Richt” in the Pushkin art museum of State in Moscow, Russia. March 2017, she served as the leading flute player in two of Kunqu opera repertoire “Stratagem in Chain” and “Palace of eternity” in Shanghai Tianchan Yifu theater. June 2017, She performed the bamboo flute, Xiao and Xun in avant-garde Beijing Opera play “Crossroads” in the 15th Bucharest comedy festival. February 2018, she performed bamboo flute in “One World Opera — A Blend Between Eastern and Western Music” with Italian, Chinese and American musicians and opera singers at Carnegie Hall, New York City, USA. March 2018, she performed bamboo flute in a modern experimental Kunqu opera performance project at Asian culture center in New York City, USA. April 2018, she was invited to participate in the interview by “New York Lounge” of American Chinese television channel. September 2018, she was invited by the BellevuePalace — the German presidential palace in Berlin to perform bamboo flute solo pieces. From 2017 to 2019, she teaching bamboo flute credit courses as instructor at Binghamton University, State University of New York,USA. March 2019, she hold individual concert at Binghamton University, State University of New York, USA. Now living in Berlin, engaged in Chinese art education and cultural exchange.
